M.C. O’Brien, Inc., is pleased to announce they have arranged office leases totaling approximately 40,850 sq. ft. in Brooklyn, during the second quarter of 2016. Tenants include Americare, Clarimar Kids Corp, DB Grant Associates and HeartShare Human Services of New York.
Americare has renewed their lease at 2275 Coleman Street for approximately 26,000 sq. ft. of office space in Marine Park, Brooklyn. This regional home health care provider was represented by Nick Zweig of Locations Real Estate. Inc. and the ownership was represented by William P. O’Brien, SIOR and Karen Cohen of M.C. O’Brien Inc.
Clarimar Kids Corp. has signed a lease to occupy 10,000 square feet on the second floor at 5226 5th Avenue in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn. Clarimar operates several child care locations in the general area and was able to benefit from the existing installation which previously housed college classrooms. William P. O’Brien, SIOR and Karen Cohen of M.C. O’Brien Inc. were the sole brokers in this long term lease. Clarimar will join United Senior Citizen Center on the third floor and Rite Aid Pharmacy and Popular Community Bank on the ground floor.
In the third transaction, HeartShare Human Services of New York has signed a lease for 3,000 sq. ft. of space in East Flatbush at 1353 Utica Avenue. The space is modern and fully built with individual offices and an open bullpen area on both the ground and 2nd floors. The site has dedicated parking which was a major attraction to the site for the tenant. Heartshare will administer a Foster Care Program at his property. William P. In the final lease, DB Grant Associates signed a lease for space in East New York, Brooklyn at 2619 Atlantic Avenue. The storefront location is comprised of approximately 1,850 sq. ft. Grant Associates is funded by NYC’s Department of Youth and Community Development and will serve youth between the ages of 16-24 at this location. They will provide academic and occupational skills along with work based learning opportunities to support the needs of the local community and address barriers to employment. William P.
